About Me

Hi! I’m Brooke.
I am a grateful daughter of God, wife to Justin, and mommy to twins Samuel & Selah (born in 2010) & Hannah (born in 2012).  I joyfully serve on staff at Northeast Presbyterian Church as the Director of Women’s Ministries.

I’m passionate about encouraging you to encounter God in your days;  whether you are a woman feeling stretched thin, a friend whose heart is tender in a season of waiting, a mother struggling to find her purpose, or a sister in Christ who is walking through your own story of suffering. I’ve been all of these women and I long to listen, and say “yes, me too”.

I blog to remind you that through a relationship with Jesus there is purpose behind the pain, goodness in the grind, mission in motherhood, opportunities in the ordinary, joy in the journey, a Savior in your suffering.

Many days, I write simply to remind myself.

You see, I’ve His grace abound on the highest mountain, and in the darkest valley. Over the last decade of my life, God has walked with me through infertility, three children in 19 months, birthing a ministry, and breast cancer twice.  (Click here to read more about my cancer journey, which I’m still in the middle of).  I write as an overflow of what God has done in my life during these seasons of pain and joy; hands-empty and hands-full.

My words, I pray, point to THE Word ~ Jesus, the Word made flesh. My words are just an expression of who He is to me….just one imperfect woman seeking to be an extravagant worshipper with my life…one woman, just like you, covered in His abounding grace seeking to Know the Grace-giver, and make Him known.

Thanks so much for reading along.

What I believe (because this is important)

We are members of Northeast Presbyterian Church, PCA

This is a denomination whose identifying statement is “Faithful to the Scriptures, True to the Reformed Faith and Obedient to the Great Commission of Jesus Christ” and whose doctrines are formally expressed in the Westminster Confession of Faith together with its Larger and Shorter Catechisms. I believe in the following:

  • The authority and truth of Scripture as God’s holy and inerrant Word
  • The deity, substitutionary death and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ
  • The future return of Jesus Christ as King of Kings and Lord of Lords
  • The immediate opportunity to receive the gift of eternal life through repentance of sins and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ
  • The gift of the indwelling Holy Spirit to all believers
